Since that we have done several fundraisers - receiving wonderful support from our communities...and work places! We did several bottle drives and spent time in my driveway and at the town hall garage sorting thought what seemed like endless bags of recyclables! We didn't plan on collecting recyclables at first, but when people asked us to take them off thier hands - we soon figured out that it was a great decision! (Thanks to the school who helped us double our money with the recyclables because of a government program) We did a Cookbook sale, handsoap sale, and tickets sales on 2 different quilts. The first quilt was a beautiful demin quilt made and donated by Karen (Brittany's mom) and the other was made and donated by Jonathan's nan. We also received several cash donations from several other organiztions and businesses, such as the Appleton and Glenwood Town Council offices, Adventure Sales and Service, Garden Designs (Dean Burt), The Glenwood/Appleton Fire Dept, Esso Avitate, The Gander Lion's Club and St Anne's Church. We also set up a booth at the Glenwood River Festival with a Free Throw Contest and 50/50 draws. We should also thank B & D's, Appleton Needs and Theresa's Sister who all placed donation cans in their businesses and brought us several hundred dollars between them! If I have forgotten anyone - please forgive me - it has been a long year!! Other Fundraisers were, Halloween Dances at the Appleton Town Hall and a Talent show.
